With the objective of transforming India into a destination for pharmaceutical research industry and improve their infrastructure, tenders have been opened for the selection of a consultant as part of the "Pharma Vision 2020, as Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals , Ashok Kumar.
"We have prepared the" Pharma Vision 2020 ". The offer, globally, has already been published and have a horizon of 10 years. Our goal is to make India one of the best destinations for drug discovery worldwide and also to create an infrastructure with international standards for conducting basic research, "Kumar told reporters after participating in the first round of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER).
He said the government has expressed interest in technical and financial bids for the selection of a consultant worldwide (Global Level Consultant, GLC) to prepare a detailed project report (DPR Detailed Project Report) for the development of India as a center for research and pharmaceutical innovation in 2020.
